AGAPE Electrification Workforce
Your Purchase Builds Careers, Not Just Gear
Every hoodie, tote, and cup you buy from this collection helps young people in East Oakland and Berkeley step into real clean-energy jobs.
AGAPE Workforce (Advancing Green Apprenticeship Pathways for Electrification) trains 15–24-year-olds in the actual work of electrifying buildings — heat pumps, energy assessments, diagnostics, and the credentials employers want. Named for agape, the highest form of love without conditions.
Why this matters right now
- Training is paid and hands-on at Cypress Mandela Training Center
- Graduates leave with OSHA 10, HAZWOPER, heat-pump skills, and NREL badges
- The real gap is job placement: tools, transportation, childcare, and employer connections
How your purchase helps
- $15–25 (candle or coffee) — helps cover local transportation for a graduate to get to job interviews or a first day of work
- $30–45 (t-shirt or sweatshirt) — contributes toward basic tools or work gear a new hire needs
- $50–60 (tote or hoodie) — supports childcare or a stipend so a graduate can take the job instead of turning it down
100% of designated proceeds from this collection go toward removing those barriers so graduates can start earning living wages instead of getting stuck after training.
